Taproom Manager

  • Scheduling

  • Schedule taproom staff for all appropriate shifts

  • Work with Sales Manager to staff and plan liquor store tastings

  • Events Management

  • Be able to staff, assist in planning and execution of our many events in the taproom and off-site

  • Liquor store and apartment tasting coordination and staffing (in conjunction with Sales Manager)

  • Once a month events that 12welve Eyes currently participates in

  • Fresh Hop (monthly local hip-hop show)

  • Comedy (monthly local comedy showcase)

  • First Friday (once a month local artist showcase)

  • Artist wall (month long artist feature, must coordinate and execute with a local artist)

  • Coordination and execution of at least 1 charitable event per month

  • Inventory Management

  • Be aware of beer inventory, know what is coming up next in the pipeline

  • Merchandise

  • Cleaning supplies

  • Bar chemicals

  • Bar snacks

  • Keep inventory accurate and updated

  • Crowler 3-pack holder inventory and ordering

  • Crowler counts/audits

  • Day-to-day taproom responsibilities

  • Expected to regularly work shifts in the taproom in addition to other duties

  • Creation of SOP with regard to

  • Bar snacks

  • Bar chemicals

  • Dishwasher cleaning

  • General taproom maintenance and cleaning

  • Make sure beertenders are following daily open, close, shift, and newly implemented responsibilities

  • Awareness and attentiveness to things like: music levels, lighting, signage, spacial (we are downtown and sometimes get visitors who are not here for the taproom)

  • Ensure menus and P.O.S. system are up to date

  • Ensure the bar is stocked for beertenders

  • Alerting beertenders to new beers on tap, new procedures, new merch

  • Alerting relevant media outlets about new beers on tap

  • Cash handling, this includes:

  • Auditing taproom cash drawers

  • Auditing parking validation tickets

  • Auditing crowler sales/inventory in taproom

  • Bank deposits 1+ times a week (depends on week)

  • Payroll

  • hours and tip tracking

  • Assist in social media posting/idea generation

  • Ensure staff follows all cleaning/janitorial procedures

  • Beertender Education and Training

  • Be available and able to provide information regarding

  • Beer pouring/serving

  • Beer styles

  • Beer tasting

  • General bartender knowledge

  • Creation of standardized training practices for new onboarded employees

Desired Candidate:

  • Minimum 2 years experience bar tending or bar managing

  • In-depth knowledge of craft beer styles and trends, current state of the industry

  • Must have a flexible schedule to work a variety of shifts

  • Name recognition for regulars is a must, we have many

  • Communicates well and desires to be a part of a team. Everything at 12welve Eyes is extremely collaborative

  • Ability to lift 70 lbs above the waist comfortably

  • Must be able to stand, walk, lift, and bend for up to 8 hours a day

  • Ability to use handtruck and pallet jack

  • Ability to move kegs (165 lbs.)

  • Computer literacy required

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office

  • Word, xcel, publisher, sharepoint

  • Knowledge of draft maintenance required
