TERRITORY SALES MANAGER: UNMAPPED BREWING CO.

Unmapped Brewing Co. is seeking an experienced applicant for a full-time outside sales position. We have recently started distributing in the metro area and are looking to further our presence in the market. The Territory Sales Manager will be responsible for sales and distribution of Unmapped Brewing brands throughout their given territory. For now, the focus will be primarily for On-Premise accounts, but servicing Off-Premise accounts will still be a part of the weekly duties.

Unmapped Brewing Co. is just beginning to distribute, so this is an excellent opportunity to start on the distribution wing’s ground floor and grow our brand presence quickly. We are looking for an awesome person who can make a strong impression on retailers with outstanding personal skills, tenacious work ethic, extensive industry sales experience, and capable knowledge of beer styles/tap systems (First Level Cicerone Beer Server Certification is required to be attained within 60 days of hiring).

Responsibilities:

Brand Growth Development

  • Manage the growth of Unmapped’s brands within a defined grouping of on and off premise accounts.

  • Build strong relationships with all accounts while pursuing new opportunities and achieving goals specific to those accounts.

  • Meet or exceed sales targets for weekly account visits, new account contacts, and successful account sales within the given territory.

Product and Market Management

  • Maintain awareness of up-to-date pricing for all our products in various markets and the general pricing of other top craft beer brands.

  • Attend weekly Management Meeting (Sales & Production Strategy) and develop market profile lists + in-depth, detailed reporting and market analysis to enable good decision-making, as well as guide creation, development, and strategy of new brands.

Provide a Great Experience Beyond the Sale

  • Participate and manage a variety of events including beer dinners, festivals, pairings, retail samplings, and other promotions to foster brand loyalty and connect customers with our products.

  • Deliver product to accounts as needed.

Qualifications:

  • The successful candidate must have at least 18 months of experience in craft beer sales as a representative of a brewery and/or distributor.

  • S/he must demonstrate an ability to develop, implement, and manage sales programs as well as forecast sales, expenses and revenue.

  • Superior planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills are required.

  • Be self-motivated, goal-oriented and a sales achiever.

  • Possess a high energy level to maintain 40+ hours a week, including frequent nights and weekends.

  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate both verbally and through written means.

  • Exhibit excellent presentation skills, a strong customer focus and the ability to manage change.

  • Communicate effectively one on one as well as in a group.

  • Be committed to lifelong learning- Level 1 Cicerone Beer Server Training is preferred and will be required within 60 days of employment.

  • Possess intermediate knowledge of Google Drive applications such as Docs, Sheets, and Slides.

  • Hold a strong understanding of pricing, price promotions and the impact of pricing on volume.

Compensation: Compensation is based upon experience and achievement; begins with a base salary plus sales-based commission. The position offers a generous benefits package consisting of health insurance, paid vacation, and expense allowances.
