Pryes Brewing Company is looking for a Brewer to join our team. The beer business in Minnesota is growing explosively. As one of the fast growing craft breweries in the Twin Cities we’re looking for a person to join the brewing team and operate the production area of our new 13,000 sq ft brewery facility.
This job requires an excellent work ethic. The Pryes Brewing team is looking for people that are excited to be part of the craft brewing business. We're looking for people that are energetic, outgoing, love learning new things and want to share their experiences with others.
Perform daily brewery activities, including brewhouse operations, tank and environmental cleaning, yeast handling, cellar work, filter operation and dry hopping
Perform quality control checks of beer throughout brewing process: Check gravity, monitor fermentation, carbonation, transferring, packaging and facilitate sensory panels
Maintain a clean, neat and safe work area at all times. Clean, sanitize all equipment, tanks and brewery areas per company protocols and standards.
Keep accurate daily production records per company and government requirements, including completing of required tax forms, brewery paperwork and documentation
Keep accurate inventory and quality management of raw materials and chemicals
Brew beer to Pryes Brewing Company standards and keep accurate records in our ERP system
Assist in bottling line and racking departments as necessary
Previous production brewery experience required
A degree or certificate from a recognized brewery technical or academic program prefered
Understanding of brewery processes and entire hot and cold side processes, including cellaring, filtering, dry hopping and packaging
Ability to work a variety of shifts/hours depending on necessity of brewery schedule, including early mornings, nights and weekends
General knowledge of CIP and Sanitation, of the practice brewing, kegging, bottling and canning
Understanding of brewery lab practices & procedures, including yeast management experience
Record keeping skills including Microsoft Office and brewery management applications
Ability to lift a minimum of 50-75 lbs repeatedly for long periods of time
Demonstrate high standard of a professional work ethic
Ability to follow and have a familiarity with SOP’s
Ability to maintain a positive attitude when the seas turn treacherous
Available to work special events and festivals as customer-facing representatives of the brewery
